From San Francisco we drove east to the Woodward Reservoir where we had the pleasure to meet up with another great friend – one of my college roommates!
She was in Northern California because her husband Super tall Paul was performing at the Symbiosis Festival. I hadn’t seen Rachel in 7 years, so I’d never met her husband and neither of us had met either of our girls. We spent almost 2 days catching up, laughing about some fun school memories, and watching our girls have a blast together.
Mr. Super Tall Paul is the host of the Jive Joint and spends much of his life traveling to festivals, but he’s also the 2012 Boss Loop National Champion, and placed 2nd in the world in 2013. Here’s a link to him winning the national in 2012.
Basically, he’s 6ft 6in worth of amazing talent and it was a joy to finally get to know him a little bit after all these years!
We also celebrated Brad’s 35th birthday! He spent the morning working, but he had a celebration committee waiting to burst forth from hiding when he got home. The kids enjoyed making him some cards, some birthday videos, a banner, and “balloons” for the ceiling.
